It finally happened.
I finally did portrait photos of Stephen Paul Taylor.
Why is this so amazing you ask? To most it is not, but it was on my to-do list for a long time. I think the guy is an awesome performance artist and great musician, and since seeing his show now coming up on 2 years ago, and it is really that long, I wanted to photograph him.
And I got the opportunity. SPT arrived and was rather chilled. I can report that like all other artists he is as human as the rest of us, and what is always a pleasure when creating images with people, relaxed in front of the camera.
So, you might know his music, or you might not yet.
You’ll see a link to his youtube channel at the bottom of the post.
A photo or two though might be in order:
SPT looking pious in his glittery hood, made with sequins no less. Asassin’s creed meets synth-pop.
A nice, raw one here. Plain and simple with a bit of a pout. We did shots with 2 lights, but I wanted a certain look with some shadow. He liked it too, so all there.
Working with sparkling things.
The photos have to fit the character. I think they do so very well here.
It is not my place to decide though. If you want to book me, help you create your image, you want to know why the image fits, so check out Stephen Paul Taylor on Youtube:
And many other songs on there too.
Thank you Mr Stephen Paul Taylor for such an awesome opportunity. I and my fellow photographers had a lot of fun and we hope you did too.
